Your Hosts Bruce and Linda Forbes, welcome you to The Lobster Pot Restaurant.

The Lobster Pot has been a family restaurant since March 1995 when Trevor and Jean Marnewick bought the Ramsgate Jewel so well known for its Lobster Tower. In December 2015 it was time for them to move onto retirement and so their daughter and son-in-law Linda and Bruce Forbes took over, hoping to maintain the legacy of fine food and a warm friendly atmosphere.

Although there have been a few minor changes many of the classics such as the Lobster Thermidor and Signature Whiskey and Cream Prawns have remained, along with the locals favorite 4 Course Sunday Lunch for only R89 pp.

One of the celebrated changes brought about by Linda and Bruce is the return of the Monthly Dine and Dance. With Live Music and no cover charge, The Lobster Pot in Ramsgate is the place to be on the First Friday of Every Month.

So do be sure to book on 039 314 9809.

The Lobster Pot Staff and Management look forward to your next dining experience with us.

Head Chef, Sebastian Mendu makes a heartwarming story with his 38 years of loyal service.

He began work at The Lobster Pot in 1979 as a little boy who stood on a crate to wash dishes. He then later began training as a waiter, but far preferred the kitchen and through hard work and dedication, became a sous chef in 1981. Years later he was appointed head chef and has since bought his culinary mastery to numerous dishes available at the quaint restaurant.
